CRUST - Back Office Banking Solution

CRUST is a back office application jointly developed by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking technology (IDRBT) and Quad One for rural and semi urban branches. The product was conceived by IDRBT to fill the gap that currently exists for an effective Complimentary system in Small and Rural Branches which can capture transactions at the lowest granularity and generate different reports that need to be prepared manually every day.

Crust is built to reduce the daily drudgery of creating various scrolls, schedules and other books for tallying and balancing that are being generated manually.

Crust is targeted towards branches mostly located in rural and semi urban centers with infrastructure restrictions.

Objectives

Crust is designed to capture each and every transaction at the source in electronic format and provide different daily reports and checks that need to be done in the branch; thereby reducing the drudgery for the branches.

Crust is expected to work with minimal infrastructure requirements.

A core focus of Crust has been to ensure that "Failure of the solution will not affect the Business Continuity", hence from the day one of conception, it has been envisaged that the product will have a supplementary role with back office automation.
